Fairhaven Pizza has been an establishment in the Fairhaven and Bellingham community for over 16 years now. It is currently undergoing a change in ownership and with that will come some new products, a slightly new service style, and a transitionary period where things will not be as "normal" as they previously have been. Please be patient as we work through these kinks and mature into these updates. We are very excited to be taking on this challenge. In the midst of a global pandemic, our goal is to safely serve our community, and offer the best service and product we can under pertaining limitations during this time.
SPENT GRAIN PIZZA DOUGH
one of the major changes we are making is crafting a new pizza dough recipe. We are utilizing spent grain, which is a byproduct of the beer brewing process. The spent grain is currently coming from Stemma Brewery, who sources their grain from Skagit Valley. This technique not only adds a nice nutty and textural component to our dough, but also is nutritionally dense, and a unique way to recycle a product that would otherwise go to waste. Our dough is still very much a thin crust, New York style crust, just with a creative twist.
